About Me

Me I'm Abhiram Joshi, a seasoned programmer and engineer with a foundation in electronics. My professional journey has taken me through diverse sectors, from intricately designing PCBs for power management to contributing to Telco infrastructure and data centers with Ericsson. My current focus revolves around cloud and devops engineering, where I immerse myself in designing and deploying containerized workloads in the cloud. Beyond my 9-to-5, I'm a perpetual learner, venturing into the realms of machine learning, data visualization, automation, as well as a number of non-technology based interests as well such as cricket and music.

In addition to my day job as a cloud and devops specialist, I have a great curiosity for learning and trying to apply as many new technologies as I can in real world projects. I have been interested in the advancements of machine learning and data visualization (including animations using code), as well as automation in a more general sense. To pursue some of these interests, I frequently engage in self learning. I have done courses such as MIT 6.86x Machine Learning with Python which has given me a strong foundation in the mathematics and algorithms used to generate some of the amazing results we see in our age of AI, as well as self-studied through a number of textbooks, including Introduction to Applied Linear Methods by Stephen Boyd as well as the follow up Introduction to Linear Dynamic Systems, both of which have allowed me to develop a good foundation in the mathematics of computer science. More recently, I have been going through Algorithms Part 1 taught by Prof. Robert Sedgewick which has allowed my to build a more theorethical and solid understanding of the algorithms we use on an everyday basis in the word of technology. I also apply many of the ideas I learn in practical projects, some of which I hope you might check out in the projects page. Some of the projects that are my particular favourites include my data analysis of Virat Kohli, one of my favourite cricketers' gameplay, and a machine learning desk light that I would learn what times of the day I would turn it on and automatically turn on to reflect those habits.

Finally, I am not just an engineer. I also have a great passion for cricket (which I pursued to a semi-professional level) and music (where I have published a number of albums online under the name Man Like AB). I will definitely feature snippets of those interests as well on this blog. Check out my cricket and music pages to see what I am interested about in those spaces.
